BLACK GIRLS ROCK!® (BGR) is a global women’s empowerment movement and multifaceted media, entertainment, philanthropic and lifestyle brand, dedicated to inspiring, and celebrating women and girls of color. The annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK® Awards is the biggest celebration of the nexus of achievements of exemplary women of color who break boundaries, blaze trails, and set trends across sectors. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity brand.
Founded in 2004, Sundari Foundation, Inc. is a non-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, youth and children experiencing homelessness by ensuring that they have the sanctuary, support, education and resources needed to heal, grow, and blossom into who they were truly meant to be. The first initiative of the Foundation was the establishment of the Lotus House Women’s Shelter in 2006 in the heart of Overtown, Miami serving homeless women.
BFWF is a game-changing 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Empowering black fashion entrepreneurs [“black fashion-preneurs”] by preparing them via educational, networking and opportunity events. Educational events build the business acumen skills of fashion-preneurs and networking events connect them to other professionals, to aid in building their network for success. Opportunity events set the stage for fashion-preneurs to launch, relaunch or “pass the fashion business torch".
In 2010, Girl Up was founded by the United Nations Foundation (UNF) as the first-of-its-kind initiative dedicated to supporting adolescent girls’ education, health, and safety. Since then, they've grown to become a global movement that engages, trains, and mobilizes girls and young people of all identities to be leaders.
Together Women Rise is a powerful community of women and allies dedicated to achieving global gender equality. They have hundreds of local chapters across the U.S. where members learn about and advocate for gender equality issues, give grants to organizations that empower women and girls in low-income countries, and build community to forge meaningful connections that increase our strength and collective impact.
